Srinagar Jammu National highway on Saturday remained closed for traffic movement for third consecutive day leaving hundreds of vehicles stranded on the highway.

Reports reaching to Kashmir News Service said that the road got blocked due landslide and shooting stones on Thursday and remained closedfor the traffic on.

A traffic official told KNS that the men and machinery hasbeen pressed to clear the road hopefully it will be cleared soon and no traffic will be allowed till the road will not get clear, he further said that strandedvehicles will be cleared first.

The officer further appealed the people not to start theirjourney from the either side of the road before knowing the status of the roadfrom the nearby traffic control units.
